Penguins are one of our favourite animals and we always make sure that we visit them when we go to the zoo. As it’s World Penguin Day we decided to look for penguins on our bookshelf and we found that we had more than we realised!
Book inspired Valentines Day crafts
With Valentines Day coming up we decided to get crafty and some of our favourite books provided us with inspiration. We didn’t need to buy anything new for these crafts, we already had everything we needed at home – biscuit cutters make great heart templates!
Picture books about snow
We’ve had our first snow of the season which has prompted us to read some of our favourite snowy picture books. They include snowballs, snowy journeys, hibernation, penguins and cold, snowy nights. We’d love to hear your snowy picture book suggestions too.
Christmassy Picture Books
Are you reading any of your Christmassy picture books yet? We’ve read several new ones but have yet to get out our favourites from previous years. These are the books that we enjoyed reading last Christmas and include cats, rabbits, nursery rhyme and fairytale characters and an adorable big bear.
