Happy International Cat Day! Do you have a favourite fictional cat? We looked through our bookshelves to find cats whose stories we enjoy reading and after some discussion we came up with a top five list. We’re also curious to know which fictional cats you would add.

We really enjoyed reading the Cake the Wolf and the Witch, we just couldn’t put it down! It’s a wonderfully original fairytale fantasy with a modern day hero and heroine and we love the way that Maudie Smith has intertwined so many well known fairytale characters into a story that includes its own unique twists.
