December 14th: Winnie and Wilbur Meet Santa
Yesterday Winnie the Witch posted a letter to Santa in Winnie and Wilbur meet Santa by Valerie Thomas and Korky Paul.
The Story: Winnie the Witch and her cat Wilbur are busy with all their Christmas preparations and once they have baked and decorated they write and post their letters to Santa. On Christmas Eve they are woken up by a big crash – Santa has got stuck in their chimney! Winnie and Wilbur rescue Santa then go out with him to deliver all the presents. Things don’t go particularly smoothly and Santa is upset when he realises that they won’t manage everything in one night. But luckily Winnie has a solution that can help…
Korky Paul’s trademark illustrations are full of festive fun and humorous details. Winnie does her best but chaos follows her wherever she goes, even writing cards and stringing up Christmas lights aren’t straightforward! But Santa rewards her for her kindness with the most amazing Christmas present!
