December 12th: Pip and Posy The Christmas Tree
Yesterday’s image showed Pip and Posy making paperchains, stars and hearts in Pip and Posy The Christmas Tree by Axel Scheffler.
The Story: Pip and Posy choose a tree and put it in a pot. Then they bake biscuits and hang them on the tree. Posy goes to find candy canes but when she comes back a biscuit is missing! The same happens to a candy cane while Posy is looking for chocolate bells. When Pip starts to feel sick he confesses that he ate ALL the decorations so they make paper decorations for their tree instead.
Axel Scheffler’s trademark illustrations are full of festive flavour and we love the decorations that Pip and Posy use for their tree. It looks really gorgeous at the end of the story, especially after Father Christmas has been!
