The Story: Father Christmas has spent so much time devouring tasty treats and drinks at the houses he visits he’s forgotten to deliver the presents. Worse still, he REALLY needs a wee.
My kids just love it. It takes something that we all know – that Father Christmas is left lots of drinks on his present-delivery rounds – and takes it to its logical and silly conclusion. A very clever and funny idea, yet also easy for kids to relate to.
Can you describe a favourite illustration or give a favourite quote from the story and tell us why you chose it.
‘Father Christmas needs a wee, he’s been drinking drinks since half past three!’
What a great set up to the story.

Which book is on your Christmas wishlist this year?
I have already bought Katherine Rundell’s One Christmas Wish, illustrated by Emily Sutton. I’m trying to resist reading it until at least the 1st of December!
