W is for When It Snows by Richard Collingridge
When it Snows is a beautifully illustrated Christmas story with a wonderful surprise at the end. Richard Collingridge’s wonderfully atmospheric illustrations accompany the simple text that takes a small boy on a magical festive journey to meet Father Christmas.
The Story: A boy and his teddy bear set off on a snowy adventure. They follow footprints, ride on polar bears, visit snowmen, meet a Queen, a giant reindeer and Father Christmas. The boy joins Father Christmas on top of the giant reindeer and on the final page we learn that he can visit this magical land any time (but we don’t want to spoil the ending and tell you how!).
