Story Snug Advent: S is for Santa to the Rescue!

S is for Santa to the Rescue! by Barry Timms and Ag Jatkowska

We absolutely love Santa to the Rescue! It’s bright, bold and colourful and has lots of little flaps to open and peek inside! Cute woodland animals help Santa prepare for Christmas and there’s a fantastic pop up Christmas scene on the final page.

The Story: Badger receives a letter from Santa Claus. The Bears of Misteltoe Mountain are stranded and Santa needs the woodland animals’ help. The animals are very excited at the thought of meeting Santa and race to his grotto where they help him to wrap presents, make decorations and prepare a Christmas feast. Then they all fly to Misteltoe Mountain where Mrs Bear invites them to join the bears for their Christmas feast.

Stick Man - Story Snug

Stick Man by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler is one of our favourite Christmas stories. We had no idea that it was a Christmas story when we bought it!

In Santa Claude, by Alex T. Smith, Claude has an eventful evening when he mistakes Santa for a burglar!

Snow  Bunny’s Christmas Wish by Rebecca Harry is a lovely festive story that celebrates the qualities of kindness and giving at Christmas.

Santa brings in a variety of colourful characters to help him in Santa’s Wonderful Workshop by Elys Dolan. But can they get everything done in time?

I bought The Snowman this year and I’d forgotten that it’s slightly different to the film.
