G is for Goodnight Santa by Michelle Robinson and Nick East
Goodnight Santa is a beautifully illustrated, easy to read rhyming book with lots of repetition. Nick East’s illustrations are gorgeous and show many aspects of Christmas including wonderful images of Santa and his reindeer flying through the sky. With very little text this is a fantastic first Christmas story for the littlest people.
The Story: A little boy is going home to bed. He says goodnight to snowmen, stockings and the Christmas tree. He makes a wish and finds himself watching Santa who says goodnight to his workshop before delivering presents. Luckily the little boy and his sister are fast asleep in bed when Santa arrives!

We enjoyed A Boy Called Christmas by Matt Haig and Chris Mould so much that we’re hoping to find The Girl Who Saved Christmas under our tree this year.
