Our last book of the year has to be about our favourite brother and sister combination, Charlie and Lola. ‘We completely must Go to London’ is a great way to introduce young readers to some of London’s famous buildings and landmarks. Already my daughter likes to pick out the places that we have visited and it is great preparation for when we make our next trip to the city. Charlie and Lola, along with best friends Marv and Lotta, describe everything in their own unique, unimitable style and Lauren Child’s distinctive illustrations are a combination of drawings and photographs.
The Story: Charlie and Lola go on a school trip to London and visit a variety of the city’s most famous tourist attractions (they manage to visit an incredible number in one day!). Attractions include Buckingham Palace, The London Eye, The Planetarium and Big Ben. There are also two postcards that you can send to your family and friends.
